Biography
Renée (Benton) James-Gilmore is the executive producer and host of ABC7’s Empowering Voices. She's also a consultant and diversity & inclusion advocate. Her areas of expertise are worforce policy, government operations and business development. Economic empowerment, social justice, and collaboation are common threads in her work. In 2010, she founded the Saja Group, LLC after leading state and national workforce inititaves that earned White House and numerous business awards for her thought leadership. Today, she's on a mission to help communities and businesses benefit from inclusion and cultural diversity.
A fourth generation native of Sarasota, Florida, Renée began her career at ABC7-WWSB. She transitioned from production rooms to board rooms after earning an MBA at Clark Atlanta University. For 30 years, she led multibillion-dollar initiatives in the government and private sectors.
