Biography
Alwyn is an accomplished leader who currently serves as President of Miami Dade College, Medical Campus where he implemented numerous allied health programs to meet the workforce needs of Florida. His professional experience is extensive, including practicing in the dental arena for more than 20 years. As president, Alwyn provides strategic leadership for the Medical Campus . He is committed to students by offering personalized attention and transformational learning opportunities. During his tenure at Miami Dade College, he secured several grants to assist students in their educational journey. He has served in various leadership roles and was the first African American president of the Florida Dental Hygienist Association and South Florida Dental Hygienist Association.
He is married to his high school sweetheart Allecia and they have two teenage boys. His favorite quote is, “The surest way not to fail is to determine to succeed.”
