Biography
Angela Pruitt is a semi-retired leader who continues to consult and teach, occasionally sharing her passion for Pilates instruction. She spent the final decade of her full-time career in human resources, most recently serving as Head of Human Resources for Lee County Government (BOCC). In July 2022, she retired as Chief Human Resources Officer and Chief Negotiator for the School District of Lee County.
Her professional credentials include SHRM-SCP, Six Sigma Green Belt, and PMP certifications. Earlier in her career, Angela served as Superintendent of the City of Cape Coral Charter Schools and Principal of Trafalgar Middle School, where she led for a decade. She has also taught as an adjunct professor at several Florida universities.
Beyond her professional work, Angela has been deeply engaged in her community through organizations such as the Society for Human Resource Management of Southwest Florida (Past President and member), Rotary (Past President and member), United Way, Harry Chapin Food Bank, and the Lee Health Impact Initiative. Her leadership has been recognized with the Southwest Florida Best Boss of the Year Award from Gulfcoast Business Magazine (2017) and the SHRM SWFL Excellence Award (2018).
Angela is especially proud of her family. She has two grown sons, both CPAs, who own and operate an accounting firm in Estero, Florida.
