Biography
Camila was born in Newark, New Jersey, and was the first in her family born in the U.S. She received a B.S. in criminology from The College of New Jersey before earning an M.Ed. in school counseling from UNC Chapel Hill.

She began her career as a school counselor and eventually transitioned to a community relations role at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, where she taught various community education programs and spearheaded partnerships geared towards underserved populations and the community partners that support them.

Camila moved to Florida in 2021, where she serves as the assistant vice president of university relations at Florida Atlantic. In her role, she represents Florida Atlantic University at the state level of government and advocates for the university's legislative and funding priorities, while coordinating the university's economic development, community engagement and university relations activities.

When Camila is not working, she enjoys spending time in nature, exercising, trying new restaurants and cheering on the Miami Dolphins.
