Biography
Chip joined the H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center and Research Institute in 2018 and currently manages legal services across all aspects of the 9,000+ employee-strong National Cancer Institute Designated Comprehensive Cancer Center and its subsidiaries. He serves as a strategic leader in Moffit’s continued growth and expansion, including the new Moffitt hospital that opened in 2023 and the new Speros Lifesciences campus presently under development.
Chip previously served as the Hillsborough County attorney from 2012 - 2018, where his office provided legal services for the Hillsborough County Board of County Commissioners. He served as Tampa city attorney from 2008 - 2011 and was previously on the Tampa City Council.
Chip was previously in private practice at the law firms of GrayRobinson, Shumaker Loop & Kendrick, and de la Parte & Gilbert. He is board-certified in state and federal government and administrative practice. He earned his J.D. from the FSU College of Law.
