Biography
Christine McGuinn has served as Director of Education Projects & Quality Assurance for Academica, a service/support provider to about 200 charter schools since 2006. Mrs. McGuinn authored 75+ approved charter applications; secured $50+ million in grants; served as principal institutional guidance concerning quality assurance; ensured implementation of continuous improvement processes for schools/networks; and facilitated numerous network and school accreditations. She served as Principal of a performing arts high school and Vice/Assistant Principal of a middle and high school. She worked at Miami-Dade County Public Schools in the Choice Office; served as Aide to the School Board Chair; and taught in inner-city public schools. She earned a B.S. in Elementary Education, a M.S. in Reading K-12, and Educational Leadership Certification from Florida International University. She is a proud mother of a vibrant 14-year old daughter and wife to her best friend and high school sweetheart.
