Biography
Danita brings more than 25 years of experience in higher education leadership to her role. She provides strategic direction for all aspects of the organization, fostering a culture of philanthropy that drives positive change in our communities.
Danita previously served as vice president for institutional advancement and CEO of the Florida Atlantic University Foundation at where she led record-breaking fundraising and spearheaded the university’s second comprehensive campaign. She has also served as the senior associate vice president for external affairs at UF and the senior associate vice president for development and alumni affairs at the University of Maryland.
Danita earned her M.S. from Syracuse University and her B.S. from the University of Maryland’s Robert H. Smith School of Business. She is currently enrolled in the business administration doctoral program at FAU. She enjoys playing tennis and spending time at the beach.
