Biography
Ivan A. Rodriguez-Seda, Partner, Continental Strategies. A premier government relations firm, offering expert policy and legislative guidance across Washington D.C., Florida, and throughout Latin America and the Caribbean. He leads high-level government relations strategy, leveraging his first-hand experience at the local, state, and federal levels.
In 2024, he founded La Fortaleza Partners, a boutique consulting firm. He previously served for 12 years at the Jacksonville Transportation Authority (JTA), including the last three as Chief of Staff. In that role, he led government and industry affairs, focusing on federal, state, and national relations, and helped secure more than $400 million in discretionary funding, including awards through the U.S. Department of Transportation’s Passenger Ferry Grant Program, Capital Investment Grants, and BUILD program.
Prior to relocating to Florida, he served in the Puerto Rico House of Representatives as a legal and legislative adviser and later as Director of the Speaker’s Advisory Staff to then-Speaker, now Governor, González-Colón.
In 2020, he was named to Mass Transit Magazine’s 40 Under 40. He is a graduate of Leadership Florida, serving in multiple roles in the region council, and a recipient of the Henry Toll Fellowship from the Council of State Governments and the University of North Florida. He serves on the Board of Directors of Latinos In Transportation (LIT) and is an active member of the American Public Transportation Association (APTA). He has also served on the transition committees of Jacksonville Mayors Donna Deegan and Lenny Curry, in the Infrastructure Committee, Transportation Subcommittee, and in the Blight Committee, respectively.
Born and raised in Puerto Rico, he holds a bachelor’s degree in political science from the Interamerican University of Puerto Rico, a law degree from the Pontifical Catholic University of Puerto Rico, and a Master of Laws in International Law and Business from Stetson University.
