Biography
Jania is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and is dedicated to advancing racial equity and empowering vulnerable populations. Beginning her career at the Florida Department of Children and Families, she advocated for families impacted by systemic oppression and trauma. As a school social worker in Seminole County, she prioritized the well-being of all students by redeveloping the district's homeless education program and spearheading equity and inclusion initiatives to address biases and promote evidence-based practices. As the Children’s Home Society’s community partnership school director, she led the execution of services from core partners and providers within the school. In her current position, Jania continues to foster academic and social excellence.
Jania has a BSW and an MSW from Florida State University. She is a field supervisor and previous adjunct professor at the University of Central Florida.
