Biography
John is a proud graduate of USF with a bachelor’s degree in criminology and a master’s degree in education with a concentration in administration and supervision from National Louis University. Before pursuing a career in education, John played college and professional football at USF and the Arena Football League. He is currently in his 17th year in education as an instructional leader.
Passionate about helping students, John is particularly drawn to those who have experienced physical, emotional or sociological disadvantages. His first-hand experience overcoming these same obstacles ignited a personal drive to encourage and support students. John has served in four school districts, at academic levels from elementary to high school, and in several teaching and administrative roles. He was named Assistant Principal of the Year by Orange County Public Schools and was subsequently promoted to middle school principal.
John is married to Edna, and they have two daughters, Jessica and Jordyn.
