Biography
Katie Thompson is a dynamic and mission-driven leader currently serving as President of Junior Achievement of the Palm Beaches & Treasure Coast. In this role, she leads a dedicated team focused on delivering impactful programs in work readiness, entrepreneurship, and financial literacy to more than 167,000 students annually across the region.
A proud product of Palm Beach County Schools, Katie holds both a bachelor’s and a master’s degree from Florida Atlantic University. Her career spans classroom teaching, school administration, and nonprofit leadership, including her previous role as a high school assistant principal. Her broad experience across education sectors gives her valuable insight into the challenges and opportunities that shape student outcomes.
Katie is deeply committed to building strong partnerships between schools, businesses, and the community to create meaningful learning experiences for students. Under her leadership, JA continues to grow its reach and relevance, preparing the next generation for lifelong success.
She and her husband, Michael, reside in Palm Beach County and are proud to support the local schools and communities that helped shape their own journeys. Katie remains passionate about creating opportunities for all students to thrive—both in the classroom and beyond.
