Biography
In her current role, Kenyatta oversees public affairs, government affairs, board services and special projects. She takes pride in working with high-performing teams to enhance Florida’s multimodal transportation network.
Previously, she served as chief of modal development for the Florida Department of Transportation, chief administrative officer for the Hillsborough Area Regional Transit, senior manager - technology and innovation for the Jacksonville Transportation Authority, senior director - administration for the Jacksonville Port Authority and senior director - finance and administration for the Port of Palm Beach.
Kenyatta has a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Bethune-Cookman University and a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Phoenix. She was named a Businesswoman of the Year by the Tampa Bay Business Journal in 2018.
Kenyatta and her husband Tyrone have two amazing kids who are thriving at Florida colleges. Kenyatta enjoys spending time with her family volunteering and embarking on fun travel adventures.
