Biography
Lisa has been a dedicated educator for 27 years. Her experiences range from teacher, coach, and Exceptional Student Education (ESE) compliance specialist to volunteer through the Parent Teacher Association. As the district staffing specialist for Orange County Public Schools (OCPS), she is responsible for ensuring compliance with ESE policies and procedures, providing training for school staffing specialists, and is an OCPS instructor for the Portal for Exceptional Education Resources.
Lisa began her teaching career in Arizona and moved to Florida in 1987. Shortly after becoming a mother, she took a leave from her education career to become a full-time mom. While away from the classroom, she stayed connected to education through her children. She returned to teaching in 2009 and soon after transitioned to ESE compliance at the school-based level. In 2020, she received her Education Specialist degree from National Louis University.
Lisa and her family have enjoyed calling Winter Garden home for 21 years.
