Biography
Megan has been in the education and nonprofit space since 2011. A Jacksonville native, she graduated from UF with a B.S. in public relations. Wanting to make a difference, she joined Teach For America (TFA) to teach middle school ELA and creative writing. After her commitment ended, she joined TFA Nashville in an operations role and later transitioned to TFA’s national team in a marketing and communications position.
In 2018, Megan joined RePublic Schools as the marketing and communications lead. In 2021, she transitioned to the Nashville Public Library Foundation as their marketing and communications lead.
Wanting her son, Ezra, to grow up near family, Megan and her husband, Tyler, moved back to Jacksonville. She rejoined TFA's staff on the Florida team, where she works to rally external supporters and organizations. She is also on the Pace Center for Girls Jacksonville's Young Professionals Board and a part of Baptist Health's ALIGN Young Professionals Group, raising funds for the health system.
