Biography
Over the course of his career, Milo has worked in finance, real estate, and business development roles in several industries, all while being an active participant in key community and government organizations in areas where he has a passion.
A lifelong aviation enthusiast and inspired by the space program, in 2024 Milo joined SpaceX as their Senior Real Estate Analyst for the Launch operation, managing a unique collection of one-of-a-kind assets, including launch facilities, rocket landing zones, rocket recovery ship berths, and a number of other assets supporting launch, landing, manufacturing, vehicle refurbishment and administrative support on the US west and east coasts.
Prior to SpaceX, Milo was the VP, Strategic Growth and VP, Real Estate for Sheltair Aviation, a family-owned-and-run aviation real estate network with almost 5 million square feet of aviation properties and a renowned customer service operation. Milo was instrumental in the company's expansions into Melbourne and Sarasota, FL, as well as new locations in Texas and Georgia. Prior to joining Sheltair in 2019 Milo was the CFO for the Brevard County Property Appraiser's Office, among other career challenges ranging from self-employment to government relations for a Fortune 200 company.
Milo, a Chicago native, attended the University of Illinois-Champaign where he began learning to fly, Florida Institute of Technology, where he earned a Bachelor’s degree in Aviation Management, and the University of Central Florida, earning a Master’s degree in Public Administration. He is a licensed Commercial Pilot and Aircraft Dispatcher, Project Management Professional (PMP®), Certified Financial Planner™ (CFP®), and Certified Member of the American Association of Airport Executives.
Milo is a former elected city councilman and has held public policy leadership roles in transportation, airports, economic and tourism development. He is married to Dr. Kristine Zonka, who leads the Florida DOH in Brevard.
