Biography
Ray's life story is one of resilience, leadership, and unwavering commitment to community service and education, as a first-generation college graduate. As a teenager, he moved to Florida with little money or English and a big American dream. He then learned (and is still learning) English and earned his Ph.D. at USF in computer science and computer engineering with a focus on artificial intelligence.
At Guidehouse, Ray is a partner focusing on State and Local Government (SLG) in Florida and 14 other southern states. SLG includes State Agencies, Education, Municipalities, Non-Profit, Public Safety, Critical Infrastructure, and Transportation. Ray constantly partners with executives to drive transformations and value through co-innovation.
Ray's leadership extends into impactful community involvement, notably with Metropolitan Ministries addressing youth homelessness, After School All Stars and the United Mitochondrial Disease Foundation.
Ray is a devoted family man and shares his life with his wife, Jenny, and their three children, Maya, Omar and Tarek, as well as their Maltese, Luca. They enjoy traveling and great food.
