Biography
Roshell R. Rinkins, a South Florida native, has built a mastery in strategic sourcing, procurement, and supply-chain management honed at some of the nation’s top companies, including Apple and Procter & Gamble (P&G). As Vice President of Grants Administration and Chief Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Officer at the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation, she develops and executes systems, policies, and management tools that advance the grantmaking at the foundation. In her DEI capacity, Roshell is responsible for driving the foundation’s core belief of engaged, equitable, and inclusive communities into every aspect of Knight’s work.
Roshell currently Chairs the NMSDC Foundation Leadership Circle, sits on the board of the Florida Philanthropic Network, is a member of Pipeline Angels and served on several advisory committees including The Miami Foundation’s Saltwater Fellowship Advisory Council. Roshell was recently highlighted by Miami Today for the category "best at tearing down barriers to unite the community” highlighting her commitment to building stronger, more equitable, and inclusive communities.
Born to Haitian immigrants, Roshell earned both her Bachelor of Science and MBA degrees from Florida A&M University. Last year, Roshell represented Miami as a participant of Harvard Business School’s Young American Leaders Program (YALP) that immerses leaders from over a dozen cities who commit to making their communities more inclusive, prosperous, and successful.
She is married to Zachary R. Rinkins, a third-generation Miamian who works as the Public Information Officer for Broward County Animal Care. Mr. Rinkins formerly worked in Miami-Dade County at the Miami-Dade Economic Advocacy Trust.
