Biography
Sheldon Dutes oversees integrated communications strategies for 1,900 team members and hospital executives in AdventHealth’s Central Florida Division. His impactful content creation drives engagement by connecting team member's to AdventHealth's mission and organizational goals. He joined AdventHealth in 2025 after an Emmy Award-winning 18-year career in broadcast journalism that took him to TV stations across the country, including WISN (Milwaukee), WNBC (New York City), WBAL (Baltimore), WCSC (Charleston), and WESH 2 News (Orlando).
Sheldon grew up in Orlando, graduated from Notre Dame, and earned his master’s degree in Corporate Communications from Marquette University. Since moving back to his hometown in 2020, Sheldon has held leadership positions on several local nonprofit boards/committees, including the Adult Literacy League and United Arts Central Florida. He also volunteers with the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and was a Visionary of the Year candidate in 2024.
