Biography
Shelly joined the Broward Center for the Performing Arts in 1994 and currently serves as the vice president of operations and general manager for the Parker Playhouse.
Shelly leads the Broward Center’s management relationships with affiliated venues, including the City of Fort Lauderdale’s Parker Playhouse, the City of Aventura’s Aventura Arts and Cultural Center and Nova Southeastern University Rose, and Alfred Miniaci Performing Arts Center. She has been certified by the Oglebay National Training Center in Public Assembly Facility Management and is a member of International Association of Venue Managers and Florida Professional Presenters Consortium.
Shelly earned a Master of Fine Arts from the University of Missouri-Kansas City. She is also a graduate of Leadership Broward Class XXVIII.
Her board service includes Downtown Transportation and Mobility Association, HANDY, Artserve, and the Leadership Broward Foundation.
