Biography

Sunny Gettinger currently runs external communications for Google Fiber's local markets - managing public relations in 19 cities to drive localized narratives to reach new and existing customers. She's been with Google for 15 years in different capacities, focused on workplace culture, HR issues, internal/external communications and government relations. She has a Masters in Public Policy from Harvard's Kennedy School and BA in English from Yale. In life before Google, she worked in the non-profit and political world, serving on both Al Gore and Wesley Clark's presidential campaigns and working for the California Shakespeare Theater. She's lived in Jacksonville since 2009, with her husband Trey Csar and their boys Cort and Max , Sunny is the past chair of Riverside Avondale Preservation and a former city council candidate. She currently serves on the Early Learning Coalition of Duval and the Jewish Community Alliance boards and the advisory committee for the Duval Public Library.
