Biography
Amoy joined Broward College 20 years ago and has been an active participant and leader in many notable student and faculty success initiatives. She works college-wide to facilitate the development and implementation of several high-impact projects and fosters a sense of community cohesion in the communication discipline.
She has served as the associate dean of communication on Central Campus, co-chair for the Food & Essentials Board, and sponsors the Stronger Together Sisterhood Employee Resource Group. She was also instrumental in working with the Office of Student Achievement Initiatives to create mobile food distribution sites college-wide and assist with developing a food pantry plan for each campus.
Amoy earned her master’s degree in reading and her doctorate in child and youth studies from Nova Southeastern University.
Amoy, her husband, two sons, and stepson are proud Miramar residents. She enjoys reading, watching her sons play basketball, and serving her community.
