Biography
Carol has 30+ years in nonprofit management and program development, 17 of which have been with CareerSource Broward where she previously served as the organization's executive vice president. Prior to CareerSource Broward, Carol was the associate executive director and a founding director of Child and Family Connections in West Palm Beach and the vice president of programs for the Palm Beach Urban League.
Born in Jamaica, she immigrated to the U.S. with her parents. Watching them, she learned valuable lessons about overcoming adversity. Those lessons inspired her career of public service built on developing opportunities for vulnerable communities.
Carol is a board member of the Greater Fort Lauderdale Alliance, Coordinating Council of Broward, and Early Learning Coalition of Broward County. Legacy Magazine named her one of South Florida's Most Influential & Prominent Black Women.
Carol has a B.S. from Stony Brook University and a master’s in social work from Columbia University. She has been married and is the proud mother of two children.
