Biography
James F. Griffin II is a dedicated educator and leader known for his passion, vision, and commitment to student success. A native of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, he began his career in Broward County Public Schools in 1993, teaching K–5 and adult learners from diverse backgrounds. He later served as Assistant Principal of North Fork Elementary and Principal of both Rock Island Elementary and Lauderdale Lakes Middle School. He currently leads as Principal of Boyd H. Anderson High School.
James earned dual degrees in Elementary Education and Specific Learning Disabilities from Bethune-Cookman University, followed by a Master’s in TESOL and a certificate in Educational Leadership from Nova Southeastern University. He is a graduate of the National Superintendent’s Academy and a current doctoral candidate at Florida Atlantic University.
A Broward Education Hall of Fame inductee, James has received numerous honors, including Selection to the Florida Afterschool Network’s Panel of Champions, Florida Principal of the Year and an honorary doctorate from Nova Southeastern. His global impact includes helping fund a classroom in an underserved community in India.
