Biography
Kathy is the executive director of community relations for Broward Health. She is actively involved in the community, making a difference in such organizations as Leadership Broward, 2-1-1 Broward, Broward Education Foundation, Broward Center for the Performing Arts, Fort Lauderdale Chamber of Commerce and Tower Forum, to name a few. She is a graduate of Leadership Broward Class XXXVIII and Leadership Fort Lauderdale Class XXV. She was recognized as top 30 under 30 in politics by the News Service of Florida.
Healthcare is a family affair for Kathy, her three siblings, and her mom, who all work in healthcare, except for one sibling who is a police officer. Kathy’s mom fled Cuba with her siblings as unaccompanied minors in the Pedro Pan program.
Kathy has run the New York City Marathon twice and the Paris marathon once. She enjoys serving the community on local boards, music, concerts, Broadway shows, and spending time with her family.
