Biography
Kim Vassar is the chief advancement officer (CAO) for Arc Broward and its two social enterprises, Arc Culinary and Arc Educates. She stewards the operational and strategic direction of the nonprofit agency’s marketing, communications, and philanthropic initiatives.
As CAO, Kim oversees the Florida Autism license plate program, which is administered by Arc Broward on behalf of the Autism Services Grants Council, which she also chairs. Grant funds come from sales of Florida’s “Support Autism Programs” specialty plates, an initiative Kim has prioritized to drive Arc Broward’s advancement and expand grant funding for autism programs statewide.
A non-profit executive with 15+ years of experience, Kim is a Florida native and proud graduate of the University of Central Florida. She graduated Leadership Broward Foundation’s Class XXXIV, and has remained active, previously serving as Foundation board chair.
Kim is the mother of two daughters, Kiely, age five, and Palmer, age three. She and her husband, Michael, welcomed Kiely in 2017, and her diagnosis with a rare genetic syndrome soon followed, making the mission behind Kim’s work deeply personal.
