Biography
Marie is an educational leader with more than 20 years of experience expanding opportunity and building pathways that connect education, economic mobility, and community impact. In her current role, she has developed systems that increase access to rigorous academic experiences, strengthen workforce readiness, and prepare students for long-term success.
An immigrant and multilingual educator, Marie is recognized for bridging gaps between schools, families, and communities. Her work has expanded postsecondary access, strengthened advanced academic and workforce pathways, and launched support for newcomer and multilingual students. She also established Broward County’s first school-based Haitian Creole language program and created a community-based ESOL program for adult learners that expanded educational access and empowered immigrant families.
Marie is among a select group of Florida school leaders to hold distinguished credentials in both School Turnaround Leadership and Leading Challenging Schools through Florida’s Office of Educational Leadership and Learning. She serves as a Re-Imagining Migration Ambassador, working with a national network of educators to advance inclusive practices that foster belonging and opportunity for immigrant students, and is pursuing a Ph.D. in Educational Leadership at Florida Atlantic University.
