Biography

Michael Lessne is a bankruptcy and creditor’s rights attorney and commercial litigator at his firm Lessne Hoffman, PLLC in Fort Lauderdale. He provides counsel to businesses and individuals in a broad array of restructuring and insolvency matters, as well as complex business litigation matters. A native South Floridian, Michael cares deeply about his family, friends, and communities, serving in a variety of leadership roles, including for the Bankruptcy Bar Association for the Southern District of Florida (President, 2024-2025) and Florida Engineering Management Corporation. Michael has also been involved with organizations protecting some of Broward County’s most treasured assets, including the Broward Center for the Performing Arts, the Historic Stranahan House Museum, and Leadership Broward. graduated from the University of Florida with a bachelor’s and master’s in accounting and earned his juris doctor from the University of Miami School of Law in 2009. Michael, his wife Ashley Boxer, and their daughter Mae live in Fort Lauderdale. Michael enjoys playing Pickleball, yoga, golf, and backgammon in his spare time.
