Biography
Sophia is a dynamic talent executive passionate about creating work environments that encourage everyone to bring their most authentic selves to work. Her unique approach centers on leveraging organizational culture to drive performance.
She has more than 20 years of human resources leadership experience within healthcare, retail, and higher education. She joined Broward College in 2019 as the head of talent and culture with responsibility for the overall planning, operation, and evaluation of the college’s human capital strategy.
Sophia has served many business and civic organizations, including the board of directors for Goodwill Industries South Florida, the HR committee for the Boys and Girls Club of Broward County, and board of directors vice chair for the Florida State Minority Development Council.
She earned her B.S. from FSU and M.S. from St. Thomas University. She is married to her college sweetheart and is the mom of three darling boys.
