Biography
Alex has had a 24-year career in administration with the State of Florida. Since arriving in Tallahassee, he has introduced numerous grants, cost allocation methodologies, strategic plans, and safety measures as director of operations, emergency management, safety, and security for the Florida College System.
Alex has a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice from Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University, a master’s degree in public administration from Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University and a master’s degree in public policy from Liberty University Helm School of Government.
His community involvement includes membership in Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. as well as membership in the Association of Florida Colleges and Association on Higher Education and Disability. He is the recipient of the Florida Department of Agriculture, Law Enforcement Administrative Service Award.
He is a very proud father and enjoys cycling and traveling with his family.
