Biography
Brandon Johnson has had a 17-year career working for the Sarasota County School District. In his time with the district, he has been a teacher, assistant principal, and principal. He is currently the executive director of Elementary Education for Sarasota County Schools.
Brandon has a bachelor's degree in interdisciplinary studies from Norfolk State University, a master's degree in educational leadership from the University of South Florida, and has his Doctor of Education from the University of Florida.
Brandon's community involvement includes membership on the Backpack Angel Board. He previously served as a mentor for Take Stock in Children for six years and a Big Brother for nine years. He is most proud of his work with Real Men Wear Pink raising money for cancer.
Brandon has been married to his wonderful wife Rashea for nine years and has a three-year-old son named Landon.
