Biography
As Executive Director of Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment for Manatee County Schools, Laurie uses her 20 years of experience in K-12 public education to improve schools for both students and staff.
Laurie has earned from the University of Florida a Bachelors degree in Communications, a Master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction, and a Specialist degree in Educational Technology. She has also earned her Doctorate from Argosy University in Teaching and Learning. In addition to her work in supporting school improvement, Laurie has co-authored a book titled Constructing a Professional Learning Network published by Corwin Press. It is through collaboration that Laurie believes we will further strengthen Florida's competitive education system.
Laurie, her husband Todd, and their four sons are proud to call Manatee County their home. Laurie has dedicated her life to students and their families to invest in Florida's future
