William "Will" Armstead, 51, is CEO of Boys & Girls Clubs of St. Lucie County, the largest non-profit youth development organization on the Treasure Coast. Born and raised in Brooklyn, NY, Armstead and wife Rachel currently live in Palm City, FL. Having successfully raised their blended family of 8 children, the "empty nesters" became foster parents. And in 2018, they adopted two brothers, ages 7 & 5, from foster care. After serving 16 years in the Army, including tours in operations Desert Storm and Enduring Freedom, Armstead spent 20 years in management for 2 international billion dollar industry service companies. In 2015, he left the lucrative for-profit business sector to become a non-profit CEO. Driven by his personal mission - to give every child opportunities for a great future - he's implemented his extensive for-profit business expertise to successfully increase Boys & Girls Clubs membership, staff, programs, and revenue by 40% overall during his short tenure.
