LEADERSHIP FLORIDA PRESENTS BANK OF AMERICA WITH THE 2023 FLORIDA EQUITY, EQUALITY & JUSTICE INFLUENCER AWARD

 

 

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — Leadership Florida presented Bank of America with the 2023 Florida Equity, Equality & Justice Influencer Award at its Annual Meeting in Boca Raton this past weekend.

                                                             

This award recognizes a business or nonprofit organization that has demonstrated leadership in promoting and implementing equality in their company and/or community in Florida.

 

“We are proud to recognize the important work being done by Bank of America,” said Wendy Spencer, president and CEO of Leadership Florida. “Their efforts serve as a model for others who aim to create positive change in our society and improve lives.”

 

Bank of America has prioritized equality and inclusion as central to the company’s values and has made impactful external investments and programs to improve economic mobility within diverse communities.  Their award nomination stated that internally, half of the bank’s global workforce are women, and half of the bank’s U.S. workforce are people of color. Through its partnerships with local nonprofits, the bank supports vulnerable populations, including working families, youth, young adults out of school and work, seniors, individuals with disabilities, veterans and those impacted by the criminal justice system.
