Biography
Mike is the vice president of energy marketing and trading at Florida Power & Light (FPL). His organization is responsible for fuel procurement and supply, all commodity trading, wholesale power origination, and structured transactions, including mergers and acquisitions. He began his career in the U.S. Army where he served eight years as an Apache attack helicopter pilot. Since 2004, his business leadership at NextEra Energy/FPL has journeyed through diverse commercial leadership roles developing energy infrastructure projects in the U.S., Canada, and Europe.
His leadership extends beyond the office as he carries a commitment to advance the community. He chairs two boards: The Habitat for Humanity of Palm Beach County and Suncoast Community High School Foundation.
Mike earned a bachelor's degree from the U.S. Military Academy at West Point and a master's degree from FAU.
